Areti is the Ancient Greek word for excellence — the quiet, daily kind. It guides how we work with every client.

Areti Occupational Therapy is my small, mobile practice — built around the idea that good OT belongs in the place where people actually live their lives. I started Areti to do this work the way I always wanted to: unhurried, considered, and shaped around the person rather than a clinical checklist.
The work I find most rewarding sits within aged care and assistive technology. There's something quietly important about helping an older adult stay safely in the home they love — the right grab rail in the right place, a shower set up so a morning routine feels confident again, or a piece of equipment that brings a favourite chair, hobby or weekly outing back within reach. Whether it's a Home Care Package review, a falls-prevention walk-through, or a careful equipment trial, my goal is the same: practical, well-justified recommendations that genuinely change daily life.
Based in Helensvale, I visit clients across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. If you're wondering whether occupational therapy might help, the easiest first step is a conversation.
"Areti — excellence is not an act, but a habit."The meaning behind our name
Every plan starts with understanding the day as the client lives it. The clinical picture matters, but so does the cup of tea in the morning and the walk to the letterbox.
We assess in your home, not a clinic — because the bathroom, the back step and the favourite armchair are where the recommendations have to actually work.
Reports are clear, equipment is justified, and modifications are proportionate. We won't recommend something we wouldn't recommend to our own family.
Good OT doesn't end with a report. We follow up to make sure equipment fits, modifications get used, and the plan actually translates into easier days.
We work alongside individuals, families and care providers to remove the everyday barriers that get in the way of doing what matters — whether that's getting in and out of the shower safely, returning to a beloved hobby after illness, or supporting a parent to stay in the family home.
The work is practical, the relationships are personal, and the goal is always the same: a daily life that feels genuinely your own.
The first conversation is the easiest part. We'll talk through your situation and figure it out together.
